About Frontline Training and Trauma Counselling

Sadly, South African families live in fear of becoming victims of crime. The truth is that this fear is valid because of the very high levels of crime that exist. The media is full of reports of people going missing, hijackings, armed robberies and home invasions. Many parents can cope with the risk to themselves, but the thought of that risk affecting their children creates very high levels of anxiety. What increases these levels of anxiety even further is the fact that most people don't know how to protect themselves and their families. Fortunately, there are very effective steps that can be taken to avoid becoming victims of crime, and to protect our children against the threats. My crime prevention talks address threats like child abductions, hijackings, smash-and-grabs, armed robberies and home invasions. Each type of crime, and how to avoid it, is explained, as are the steps to be taken if one is unable to avoid it, so that everyone emerges unscathed from the experience. I have an Advanced International Stress Consultancy Diploma, a Psychological First Aid Certificate from Johns Hopkins University, and have done a course on Terrorism and Counter-terrorism through Leiden University in The Hague, Netherlands. As a Stress and Trauma Consultant I works with people who have suffered emotional trauma, providing post trauma counselling, grief counselling and stress management coaching. One of my priorities is to provide training on how to avoid becoming victims of crimes like hijackings and smash-and-grabs, home invasions, armed robberies and personal physical attacks. I also focus a lot of attention on educational talks around child safety. My clients include, but are not limited to OUTsurance, Momentum, Metropolitan Gordon Institute of Business Science, Deloitte, Stanlib and the Embassy of Sweden in South Africa. All talks are designed to create confidence in people and not paranoia.
